Stylinzine.com: Well, to start off with tell us a little bit about you.
Jared Burnett: I am a 22 year old violinist who lives in Orlando, Florida who absolutely loves any kind of music!

Stylinzine.com: What/who inspired you to take up instrumental music especially electric violin?
Jared Burnett: My mother was the one who introduced me to the violin when I was 3, but I first showed interests in the electric violin when I heard Boyd Tinsley of the Dave Matthew's Band playing his.

Stylinzine.com: How would you describe your music?
Jared Burnett: I would say it's a mix of classical training with bluegrass and jazz fusion.

Stylinzine.com: What do you thing is the best part or difference between instrumental music and vocals?
Jared Burnett: I think that you can express so much more feeling with an instrument that you might not necessarily be able to do with vocals, but they are a lot alike.

Stylinzine.com: Tell us a little bit about your debut solo album and your involvement in its production
Jared Burnett: It is basically going to be a mix of various influences from house mixes to classical songs, and everything in between. When doing an album it's extremely important to be involved with every aspect, so it's done the way you want and something to be proud of!

Stylinzine.com: Have you ever recorded with any other musicians, or appeared on any collaborative album?
Jared Burnett: I haven't recorded a collaboration as a solo artist yet, but there are so many different people that I would love to work with.

Stylinzine.com: What would a typical day for you include?
Jared Burnett: Basically waking up, checking email, practicing for a couple of hours and then performing at Universal Studios.

Stylinzine.com: Describe your most memorable live performance to date.
Jared Burnett: Definitely getting to perform in front of over 150,000 people at Red Hot and Boom - a concert here in Florida.

Stylinzine.com: Aside from music what is your number one priority?
Jared Burnett: My family.  My mother and grandmother are the backbone of my soul and without them I would never have gotten to where I am now!

Stylinzine.com: You Idolize after or are a fan of which musician/(s)?
Jared Burnett: Boyd Tinsley of Dave Matthew's Band, Robbie Williams, Seal, and Josh Groban just to name a few.

Stylinzine.com: So far what has been the highlight of your career?
Jared Burnett: Once again, getting to perform in front of over 150,000 people is an experience that is indescribable.  I have also had the opportunity to perform in a number of amazing venues across the United States with some incredible artists.

Stylinzine.com: If you could collaborate with any living artist who would it be?
Jared Burnett: There are several artists that I would like to work with, but specifically Josh Groban, Celine Dion, or Shania Twain would be amazing.

Stylinzine.com: The typical audience you hope to reach would be.
Jared Burnett: Everyone...From elementary kids starting in music to adults who are seeking developed sounds to enjoy and appreciate. 

Stylinzine.com: Currently it seems mainstream music is pivoted around pop/rock and rap, as such how do you hope to carve out a well orchestrated niche for the instrumental genre.
Jared Burnett: In each of those genres that are commanding the current charts, there are acts that have instruments in them.  For example, Twista and Yellowcard both have featured violins... the sounds are there, it's just a matter of people recognizing them for what they are!

Stylinzine.com: Well thanks so much for taking some time out for us. Before we wrap up, what would be your message to our readers?
Jared Burnett: To focus on whatever it is that you think that you want to do with your life.  It's obtainable, you just have to get out there and get it on your own.
