Our Second Interview with Ariana Stewart

www.stylinzine.com

Styinzine.com: Hi Ariana, it’s great chatting with you again? Well tell us how your life has changed since you joined the music biz?

Ariana Stewart: Wow, where do I start?  Well first, I retained the worlds greatest publicist Jerry Doby and have had more interviews set up.  I will be opening up for the R&B group Climaxx when a new Orlando talk show called "Real Talk With Kietta" will be having a release party.  I'll also be appearing on the show at some point.  I just wrote and recorded a song that's going to be in a major motion picture.  I also was asked to screen test for the lead female character in another movie in which my music will appear.  I am working on collaboration with The Lords of The Underground.  I wrote songs that are being considered for Bad Boy Records group B5's sophomore album.  I'm collaborating with a couple of artists from the UK.  My record label has also been made a part of a 6 member network that is up for deal consideration with a major label.  The legendary Maurice "The General" Starr, who discovered, produced, promoted, and wrote all the hit songs for "New Edition" and "New Kids On the Block", has just joined my management team.  And as you now know, I was picked on BET.com's Ya Heard Segment as the hottest unsigned artist for that week.

Styinzine.com: How was the experience at BET?

Ariana Stewart: Well, it is an honor to be chosen.  Out of the thousands and thousands that they probably review, they chose me for that week.

Styinzine.com: Who has been most supportive of your career?

Ariana Stewart: I'd have to say, hands down, my mom Shannon and my father Willie.  They have been doing the hard leg work which allows me to concentrate on writing and singing good music and branching into other areas of entertainment.

Styinzine.com: What has been the best and most rewarding part of your career so far?

Ariana Stewart: There are so many things and I know there are more to come.  But, I'd have to say having my family be a part of my growth in the industry is extremely rewarding.

Styinzine.com: The Music industry is about meeting people; who has been the most incredible person you’ve met so far?

Ariana Stewart: I met a girl on myspace.com who says that my music inspired her to keep going on.  It can't be more incredible than that. That's why I think it's so important to connect with fans as people and don't forget who is getting you where you want to go.

Styinzine.com: What would you say is the most exhausting thing about what you do?

Ariana Stewart: Everything is exhausting about this business, but this business also re-energizes you when people show their appreciation for the hard work you do.

Styinzine.com: What else besides music are you currently involved in?

Ariana Stewart: I am really trying hard to do the movie thing.  I think I could be a good actress, so my management team has put an opportunity in front of me and I'm going to go after it.

Styinzine.com: Have there been any surprises along the way in the process of building your career?

Ariana Stewart: The biggest surprise has been how many people all over the world know about me right now.  I have gotten hits from everywhere on my website http://arianastewart.net/homepage.htm

Styinzine.com: If you could have one spectacular wish right now, what would it be?

Ariana Stewart: I would want the victims of Hurricane Katrina to have their lives restored to normal.

Styinzine.com: Well thanks for dropping by Stylinzine.com; before we wrap up what else should our readers know about you?

Ariana: Ariana aka The One and Only A R I is asking you to mobilize your resources and help Hurricane Katrina victims.  I plan to try and do it in a big way when I get a major label deal so ya’ll pray for me and let's make it happen. ¯

 *  First Interview

Stylinzine.com: Hi Ariana, well first off please tell us a little bit about you and your music?
Ariana: Well, I’m 16 and I have been writing songs since I was 9 years old.  My primary style is R&B, but sometimes when I write I write POP and Hip Hop stuff. A song I wrote after 9/11 called Strife, could be considered Alternative.

Stylinzine.com: Which individual artist or band has been a source of exceptional influence for you?
Ariana: I’d have to say Alicia Keys. Her writing inspires me. Prior to her coming on the scene, I listened to a
lot of old Motown songs.

Stylinzine.com: If there was one thing you could change about the music industry, what would it be?
Ariana: I would make sure that artists got paid a fair share for their contributions. From what I hear now, it doesn’t seem too fair.

Stylinzine.com:
Tell us a little bit about your debut album?
Ariana: My debut album is going to be a lot of R&B with a few club bangers on there. I am also going to include my song Strife since my EP will be released overseas first.

Stylinzine.com: Which record label do you hope to sign with?
Ariana: I don’t have a preference. My family started my own label and hopefully we can just get more distribution so we can maintain creative control.

Stylinzine.com: By the end of this year what do you hope to accomplish?
Ariana: I want the whole world to know my name and love my music! I think we can make it happen.

Stylinzine.com: In your view a perfect duet would include you and which current multi-platinum artist?
Ariana: Of course if I were going for chart performance it would have to be Alicia Keys, but I would love to do a duet with someone like Gladys Knight. She is very spiritual and I know I would learn a lot.

Stylinzine.com: Who do you think rightfully deserves the title musical 'Diva'?
Ariana: Any girl or woman who struggles to put out music in this cut throat industry and still is able to maintain herself like a lady.

Stylinzine.com: In your opinion what is the most powerful aspect of your art?
Ariana: My writing ability.  I feel like my soul is old and I can tap into that to reach everyone.

Stylinzine.com: A huge Billboard at the centre of New York's Time Square would say what about you?
Ariana: 16 year old Singing/Songwriting phenomenon takes over New York!

Stylinzine.com: What is the first word that comes to mind with the following:
Ariana:
- music -  Life
- platinum -  Record
- fan -  Friend
- famous - Alicia Keys (I had to give you two words)
- Grammy - Ariana
- record - Music

Stylinzine.com: What is the one thing in your life you couldn't do without?
Ariana: My parents. They are my foundation.

Stylinzine.com: What would you perceive as the biggest compliment about your music?
Ariana: The greatest compliment is that I am only 16 and can move so many people.

Stylinzine.com: Well thanks so much for dropping by Stylinzine.com, before we wrap up what would you like to share with our readers?
Ariana: Visit my website http://arianastewart.net to stay updated and Stylinzine.com rocks!!!!!!!
