Stylinzine.com: Hi Alisa, thanks for dropping by Stylinzine.com. Well to begin with you’ve been a part of the entertainment scene for a long time, so tell us how it all started.

Alisa Reyes: When I was three I wanted to be on TV sooo bad that I tried to stick my head in my TV set. It was so cute because my mom was like, “honey that’s not the way you get there’ll!!!” With the support of my mother and family I went on to find an agent and luckily the first thing I went out for I booked and since the age of eight God has blessed me.

Stylinzine.com: While balancing the various aspects of your career what is your best strategy to stay on top of schedule and keep from stressing out?

Alisa Reyes: I try and hang out with my friends, being around positive people are vital for me. I try and take a minute to myself and relax. Having alone time is helpful so you can get yourself balanced.

Stylinzine.com: What is your favorite day of the week and why?

Alisa Reyes: Friday! It’s the weekend.

Stylinzine.com: Having played a multitude of roles on screen, what has been your favorite character to play?

Alisa Reyes: When I played opposite Pamela Anderson on VIP. I had the chance to play the role of an evil vixen who gets to kidnap Pamela Anderson. It was HOT! I also learned some action moves, and got to kick butt!

Stylinzine.com: Which acting/media platform (T.V., movie, theatre, etc…) do you enjoy being apart of most?

Alisa Reyes: All of the above. I love performing and especially singing BUT the acting bug is in from day one, it’s a dear passion of mine.

Stylinzine.com: In your opinion what has been your greatest accomplishment, so far?

Alisa Reyes: Was sharing a character with Rachel Ticiton as Vangie on American Family. The storyline for my role was beautifully written and captured. The cast I got to work with has become a real second family for me. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Stylinzine.com: Which has been your most difficult role to portray thus far?

Alisa Reyes: Playing a teenage mother on Boston Public. It was hard to relate to the character seeing as how she was so close to my own age and dealing with so much more. It affected me in a way that I, and hopefully viewers, see that her struggle is a struggle happening to teenagers more and more. Sometimes the truth is the most difficult.

Stylinzine.com: The most fun you’ve had on set was when…..?

Alisa Reyes: When I was on the show All That on Nickelodeon. I was a kid just having fun and meeting musical guests such as TLC, Usher, Faith Evans, etc.

Stylinzine.com: Which co-star has been your greatest inspiration/most fun to work with?

Alisa Reyes: Sonia Braga!!! Who played my mother on American Family. She is a muse to anyone she works with. She wears her soul on her skin and has an amazing aura about her.

Stylinzine.com: If you could pick your dream role, what would it be, and why?

Alisa Reyes: A remake of ‘Splendor in the Grass’, which originally stared Natalie Wood in the role I've always wanted to play. It was one of those love stories that make you melt. I am such a hopeless romantic that this was the icing on the cake.

Stylinzine.com: Who would you most like to co-star with next?

Alisa Reyes: That’s a hard one because there are so many great actors; some of my favorites are Johney Depp, Diane Keaton, and Goldie Hawn just to name a few.

Stylinzine.com: If there was one thing you could change about yourself to influence your career, what would it be?

Alisa Reyes: My career wouldn't be exciting if I didn't take on new challenges. Each role I play changes me in a way. Experiencing new things is what helps me to grow.

Stylinzine.com: What made you want to take up extreme boat racing, and is it just a hobby?

Alisa Reyes: I started off as the spokes person for a company called SuperBoat International. I test drove a 29 footer for the first time in KeyWest. I loved it because it was such a rush. The boat was like my new best friend. It was the speed and the thrill that did it for me. Since then I continued on with speed boat driving and started a team. Now I race when I get the chance while I am not shooting.

Stylinzine.com: Well thanks so much for taking time out for us, before we wrap up, what would your message to our readers?

Alisa Reyes: Thank you for all the support that I get on my site. People have kept it so real with me since the ‘All That’ days. I want everyone to know that I had a dream and I live it everyday and so can you. So stay focused, remember to keep your passion alive, learn new things everyday and to never give up.
