Interview: Amy Famiglietti

Stylinzine.com: Hi Amy, well to begin with tell us a little bit about you and your music?
Amy Famiglietti: Hi Everyone! My name is Amy Famiglietti! I am a singer/songwriter from MA! My music is pop with a little bit of a rock feel to it! I think I bring a different sound to the table because all of my songs are different from one another! I'm also 18 years old and a college student as well as a performer :)

Stylinzine.com: Who would you say is your biggest inspiration in life?
Amy Famiglietti: The artist that drove me to pursue my career and really inspired me musically is Britney Spears. A lot of people don't give her much respect, but she is a great entertainer and nobody in the business can put on a show like her! Her performance and dancing really inspires me to take my concerts to a different level than most artists.

Stylinzine.com: Which recording artist do you identify with most?
Amy Famiglietti: Hmmmmm....Maybe JOJO because we come from the same neck of the woods! lol

Stylinzine.com: If you were a musical instrument, what would you be?
Amy Famiglietti: A piano! :)

FEATURES		Stylinzine.com: What are your future plans in terms of your music, album, and so forth? Amy Famiglietti: Right now I am recording the fifth song for my debut album! You can catch me at the Sad Cafe on Jan. 28th and Feb. 12! :) Stylinzine.com: Which ‘one hit wonder’ (thus far) do feel disserved a more lasting career? Amy Famiglietti: HMMM.... I can't think of many good "one hit wonders" lol I would say artists like nick lachey and JC Chasez! They definitely don't get the credit they deserve. These two guys are amazing soloists and haven't broken out there like they should! They are both amazing singers and great performers and can definitely rock the solo market! Stylinzine.com: What do you think it takes to carry off a great performance/show? Amy Famiglietti: Tons of Energy and Creativity. Coming up with a great show concept takes a lot of creativity and putting together a show and rehearsing for it takes a lot of patience and energy! Anyone who is driven and truly loves this business will find the energy and drive to make it happen. Stylinzine.com: Given the choice, which would you prefer and why, —lead singer of a group or solo artist? Amy Famiglietti: Solo Artist. I am a very independent person and I like to be able to be in charge of my own destiny per say. I am one of those people who would do group projects and take all the work home at night and volunteer to do it lol Everytime I've done group work there is someone who always seems to hold the group back. It's a lot easier being a solo artist.

Stylinzine.com: What is your favorite song of all time?
Amy Famiglietti: My favorite Song of all time ..... that's a tough one. I love so many songs! lol I would have to say it's between "I Wanna Love You Forever" by Jessica Simpson, "You Got It Bad" by Usher, and "Shadow" By Britney Spears.

Stylinzine.com: If you weren’t in the entertainment biz what would you be doing?
Amy Famiglietti: Well I'm majoring in Dance Education right now, so I'd probably open up my own studio and teach dance. I'm not much of a "Behind-the-scenes" kind of girl though! I love to be on stage and that is where my heart is!

Stylinzine.com: Which dancer/choreographer do you think has standout style?
Amy Famiglietti: I love Wade Robson to death! He is such a great dancer and choreographer!

Stylinzine.com: By the end of the year what do you hope to accomplish in terms of your career?
Amy Famiglietti: I'd love to sign a record deal and finish my full length album! That would be very cool!

Stylinzine.com: What would the most flattering concert review about you say?
Amy Famiglietti: "What a great show! Not only can she dance, but she can sing live! She is one of the few singers out there who can sound like the CD without Lip synchin!" LOL I take tons of pride in singing live because so few singers do nowadays!
